Networks & Support Groups

Just because you are a homeschool mom doesn’t mean you need to be an expert in every subject in the curriculum from pre-school through high school. This is where it’s helpful to have strong homeschool networks. You may be an expert in geography. Your neighbor may have special talent in art. It’s a good idea to support each other with teaching.

Homeschool Legal Defense Association (HSLDA) has a great resource where you can find state and regional groups in your area. The state groups will have a pretty good list of local groups within your state. In addition, almost all state groups host at least one homeschool conference each year. You can contact your state group leadership for more information. To find a group near you visit HSLDA’s Support Groups Link.

Another great resource is provided by Homeschool Life. They have a clickable map which lists co-ops in each state and links you to their websites. You can even set up your own group to share with others on their site. For more info visit Homeschool Group & Co-op Website Map.
